Greetings. I bought a five wire bridge replacement pickup humbucker for a strat. Can I wire this to split coil to the five ways switch. Or does it require get a separate switch installed. Or does it require getting a pull push pot etc. Blessings. Paul wa state.

The 5-way has only two poles, one is used for pickup selection and one is used for tone.

Push-pull, or a Fender "S1" is going to be the cleanest and won't require drilling another hole in the PG.
The 5 wires are going to be shield, coil 2 negative, coil 2 positive, coil 1 negative, and coil 1 positive.
Which color is which will depend on the manufacturer of the pickup.

Generally, the shield will be grounded with the coil 2 negative, and the coil 1 positive will go to your selector switch.
The coil 1 negative and coil 2 positive will be connected together for standard humbucking, or it is shorted to ground to "split" the coils and play only one coil, so to wire it to a push-pull, you would use only 2 of the 6 terminals... connect the two pickup wires to the center terminal, and connect the terminal closest to the pot to ground. When you lift the switch, the coil will split.

Greetings. Rich. Thanks for the post. I copied and saved the advice. Now I know, Ill need a push pull pot. I understand how to wire it now. I hope the pick up I ordered comes with a color code. I learned also how to check the phase along side the old pick ups. Thanks again. Paul wa state

The color codes for different manufacturers are all over the web, so that shouldn't be a problem.
And there are plenty of different push-pull split diagrams, too - for US or import switch, with different series/parallel options, with a megaswitch...
If you update the basic info (pickup and guitar model) and the plan for the wiring mod updates, the forum might be able to help with a suitable diagram. And you could check the HSS & Fat diagrams on https://support.fender.com/hc/en-us/art ... e-Diagrams if there is one that suits you straight on.
