My fist school choice was State University of New York at Fredonia for Sound Recording Technology. I got in an argument with the folks in the application process, and never went.
That's too bad... I looked at their recording department when I auditioned at Fred, and it was quite nice.

My fault completely.

At the time, everyone there had to at least minor in an instrument. Even though I could have played any number of wind instruments (probably trumpet), I held my ground for them to let me bring an electric bass into the program. I was 17, and fairly full of myself. I thought they would cave in. I found out differently.

My loss. It's an excellent school.

Citizen...

I'd venture a guess that few of us are professional musicians. So you're going to need a decent career to pay for your life-long musical passions and possessions. Eventually, music will pay you back with friendships, experiences, memories, player chops, interpersonal patience with others and maybe even some cash.

I don't reget the significant time and money I invested in my Education. Earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and an MBA from the University of Utah. I highly recommend you seek admission there. Go Utes!

Aren't you an athelete too. Any scholarships pending? What about skiing?

Best of luck!

It occurs to me that I sold my '71 sunburst Mustang and Univox amp for book and tuition money. Is that like giving up one dream for another?
