Wrong, a humbucker dont't make the guitar.
I often try a real vintage tele, the Thinline Telcaster the one with two with humbucker, it sound real tele

I'll somewhat disagree on that - it was probably caused exactly by the (original) WRH's - they're humbuckers but still have a single coil type sound & clarity. That's why those pickups have a legendary rep.

(Edit: WRH = Wide Range Humbuckers, or as Fender calls them in the service diagrams FWR = Fender Wide Range.)

You could be right

The only Fender I own with a humbucker is neither a Tele nor a Strat. It's my old 2000 MIM Cyclone with a zebra HB in the bridge position.

There were also variations with dual humbuckers and three Jaguar pickups.

Thanks for the video, FSB.
Personally, I preferred the sound of the Strat.
I can't decide if I find that surprising or not but it is interesting nonetheless.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Glad to have provided it, Matt. I just happened upon it, and I thought the guy nailed it with a fair comparison. Like I said, it is similar but not the same, but dang it was close. The dude and dudettes in the crowd might not hear a difference unless they have a trained ear and a side by side playback. IMHO.

Keep rawkin’ with that Helix, BMW-KTM.
