As we all have come to know across these many Forum years, he has a very understanding wife who has been instrumental in supporting the contention that one can never have too many guitars.

I get that phreddybee. It’s like a curse. Once you’ve heard or especially when you played Fender in ’62 it stays in your blood. I got bit back then, and it stayed with me. My blood count was low for a period, but it is back up to where it should be, and the mojo’s back.

Other axes are fine too, but old habits are hard to break. I’m glad to say I have this habit. :D

I tell you what, if you EVER only have one guitar and one amp...you got the combination MANY would choose.
I don't have much experience with the Eric Clapton Signature, but you hear nothing but good things. And if I threw out every amp I own except one---my Pro Junior would sit all alone, proudly in my Studio.

Shoeee! You got it bad, Doc. There’s definitely no cure with that habit. What a great time to start, and to experience the transition of Fender from the 50s to the 60s.

You're practically a charter member and go back with me a long way. I'm sure you've read my narrative of what happened to my '58 when I sent out to be refinished in 1969.

We do and I did indeed learn of the unfortunate body update on your vintage ‘58 my brother. Ouch! Sympathy to the moon and back.

They'll get a copy of the Vintage Guitar or Gruhn Guitar guide and use that as a basis. Put those directions in your will along with a notations of any specs which might mitigate establishing a fair value for the gear.
