3 Fender Strats (two MIM's and one Squire Bullet)
1 Fender Acoustic (CD-60)
1 Fender Acoustic/Electric (T-Bucket 300ce)
3 Fender Solid State Amps (Frontman 15G, Ultimate Chorus, Deluxe 85 w/red knobs)
1 Fender Solid State Modeling Amp (Mustang IV - trying to sell)
1 Fender Tube Modeling Amp (Super Champ X2 head)
1 Fender Cabinet (Super Champ 112)
2 Fender Tube Amps (Blues Junior, Pro Junior)
4 Fender Effects Pedals (original Drive, Distort, Chorus, & Delay)

And numerous Fender guitar straps, instrument cables, foot switches, clip on tuners, hats, shirts, etc...

I've had quite a bit of Fender instruments and gear come and go as well.

Some of my biggest mistakes I've made (in MY opinion): Hot Rod DeVille 4x10, 2006 Highway One HSS, 2015 Deluxe Roadhouse, that Mustang IV I'm having a hard time unloading. And, I kick myself every day for trading my 2013 MIM Telecaster for that HR DeVille---man would I like to take that trade back.

Hi all ! I'm newbie!
A better investment might actually be amplifiers. I'm especially thinking of great amps with short production runs where the companies have gone out of business or have quit making amps. Any of the Reverend amps for instance, but especially the Hellhound. Those are just going to gp up and up in value as they become harder and harder to find.

Nice collection of Fender gear you've got there T2.

I've never owned or played a Fender Esquire.

If it's a lot like a Gibson LP Jr., I may like it a lot.

If I were to get an Esquire, It'd be a Blonde like yours.

Thanks Fender Aficionado! You have some quite nice gear too! And I love the shots by the pool!

The Esquire has a nice light ash body and it rips but not like a P90, it definitely has more pronounced highs, especially in position 3 which is wired to bypass the tone knob!

Thanks T2.

I'm on the search right now for a good use MIA or MIJ Fender Esquire.

I'm may take a while to land one,but I'm VERY patient and I'll wait for just the right deal.

I think I really need an Esquire in my collection. :D

6 Stratocasters, three of which are 30+ years old, two are 10+ years old, one is 4 years old.

I've never once looked at my gear (or gear in general) as a "re-sale" investment. I see something I like, and try to get a good deal on it, and buy it. If I 'bond' with it, I keep it...if I can't find any love for it I sell or trade it---some times at a loss, some times at a gain, some times break even. I just like playing...not trying to open a pawn shop.

Interesting question. Far and away I have more Fender gear than anything else.

GUITARS
1986 Fender Stratocaster (MIJ), Black
1992 Fender Standard Stratocaster (MIM), Chrome Red
2004 Fender Highway 1 Telecaster, Sunburst
2003 Fender Jazzmaster RI Q-Series (CIJ), Lake Placid Blue
2000 Fender Cyclone (MIM) , Black
2002 Fender Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster (MIM), Inca Silver
2003 Fender Highway 1 Stratocaster, Sunburst
2005 Fender American Series Stratocaster, Sunburst
2004? Fender Stratocaster XII (CIJ), Sunburst

BASSES
2003 Squier Affinity P-Bass, Torino Red
2014 Squier Vintage Modified Bass VI, Sunburst

AMPS (All Blackface)
2002 Fender Princeton 65
2003 Fender Cyber-Champ
2004 Fender Frontman 15B
2010 Fender Vibro-Champ XD

I thought I had just three amps until I moved some furniture and found a fourth!

No pedals yet. Should have bought a Fender Blender RI when they came out. Now the RI prices have gone way up and the vintage units have skyrocketed. Time for another reissue? Or maybe redesign it to fit the new line of Fender pedals and make it more pedalboard friendly. I'd buy it. Just a thought.

BTW, I'm very happy with my Strat XII, but I was ready to buy the much rumored but never seen Squier reissue of the Electric XII to go with my Bass VI. If you make it, I will buy it especially if it comes in CAR !! Just sayin'.

Wow Steve!! I'm surprised you have room to move around in! I had four other Fender guitars, plus 2 PRS's which came and went. The Les Paul was a gift from my wife which stayed. I have 5 amps none of which are Fender, but a Fender Floor since discontinued. I chose an Orange 50 for my Bass VI because the Fenders were too bulky for the closet the herd is sequestered in since relocating to SoFla. I don't have the room I once had on Long Island where the amsp were scattered around my study.

BTW: We're long overdue for coffee.

Stay safe.

Doc
