My dislike/distrust of the Bi-Flex is somewhat irrational and overblown. They've been using them since the mid '80s and the vast overwhelming majority of them have worked perfectly with no issues.

I've owned some 25 guitars over the past 47 years. Only one of them ran out of truss rod adjustment and needed washers. And at 1 out of 25 I was exceptionally unlucky -- most people will never encounter that.

It seems to me that the need for a truss rod that can force more relief into a neck is even rarer. But I've read a few posts from people who have utilized that feature -- it may be more common than I think. Especially among people who use .009s or .008 strings.

The non Bi-Flex necks with the Bi-Flex plugs are the worst of both worlds, but even so there are very few problems with them.
