I am new so forgive me if my questions seem silly

Can you give me ways to identify (model numbers or names) of strats that come with a "short scale" neck......?

Also, I remember seeing and owning a "Strat" that was made in Japan - had a black headstock with "Strat" written at an angle - a two point tremolo, a pick-guard, with only one Humbucker pickup - one knob volume and the jack plug was a right angel to the body and placed in the pick-guard.....Can you give me name, model and date details on this guitar, which also had a "short scale" neck ???
Thanks in advance

All "Stratocasters" as well as the Telecaster have a 25.5" scale.
The original Mustang and Duo-Sonic were student models with a 22.5" scale, but are currently a 24" scale.
I think the Jaguar is still a 24".
Gibson generally uses a 24-3/4" scale, though they used a 23.5" scale on the Byrdland

There have been some Strat-like student guitars made with a very short scale, some with a small amplifier and speaker in the body, either for children, or for camping/travel.

Mini Strats are 24" scaled, available at the moment in Squier Packs, part number 0301812606.
The current Aerodyne Strat is 24.75", model number 5250012941.

Then there was the Modern Player Stratocaster, model number 024-4000-XXX (the last three digits are the color code, 500 for 3TSB, 506 for black...) with a 24" scale.

And Japanese... The Squier ST-314 (2 x 314 mm = 628 mm = 24.72") was a 'medium scale' model.
The HM Strats had a 25" scale, yours would most likely have been a version of model HM-551 (254400). The trem was (most likely again) a Kahler, and there was a two knob version, too.

Those for starters, probably more options somewhere in my memory bank...
