Guitar Center got in a new Hot Rod Deluxe IV. They put a 12” Celestion “A” type speaker and put chicken knobs on there.

Great thread here, folks - keep it going! Ahem: I actually kinda like the Meteora and plan on getting one myself. But, then again, I do always tend to gravitate toward the quirkier stuff. :D

Ha, yes - don't get me wrong, my main go-to axe is a Tele ... but I actually really love oddball stuff - and that Squier Katana is a great example!! :-)

Wow, feeling much older after looking at 7 pages of Bands at NAMM and not recognizing one band or artist. Anyone else hear of or recognize those bands or artists?

I've heard of The Breedloves, no wait, that's a guitar. I guess we're in the same boat Rollie.

Great thread, Mike. Thin line Super Deluxe and Troublemaker Teles and (Blackburst FMT Elites - thanks, Chromeface) are to my liking. The traditionals are in my DNA as well. Lots to like.

Maybe, the limited edition purple sparkle Adam Clayton Jazz and Precision Bass models will be at NAMM.

As for drum machines, I’ll pass. They’re not much for stage performance with swirling cables and such.

I'm waiting to see some of the new amplifiers.

Marshall Amps :

"We know a new product is coming is coming out January 25 2018 and that it will employ EL34 tubes. But being that EL34s have been the undisputed power tube of choice in Marshall amps since forever, this doesn’t tell us much. There’s not even any audio! We’re not sure if this is going to be an amp re-issue or an entirely new product, but our guess is on the latter. It could even be a tube/modeling hybrid utilizing their CODE amps…too early to tell!"

Thanks, for the posts and links on the Line 6 Multi Effects and Hot Rod IVs, Mike.

Not sure if I like the aged grill cloth on the HRs though. Old (aged throughout) is cool, new is cool, old and new look together . . . I dunno. This is probably because I gave up smoking some time ago, or maybe because I think stage presence could use a little if not a lot of pizazz. YMMV Maybe an option in that grill cloth area would be appreciated. I guess we’ll soon know how that look garners interest.

At least it doesn’t look like a metal BBQ rack. :P

Solid pine cabinet is nice though.
