Thank you for posting mud.
I really liked him and his band. Live at the Oxford New Theater in spring of '74 The house was captivated after a few songs the band paused for a breather and for Ray to keep the audience attention. An enthusiastic young man called out Knights then another Tuesday and then there were many voices with requests. Ray said into the mic with his magnificent delivery, "this is our concert and so we will play what ever we like" the house roared, they played I'm just a singer, two hours later nobody would leave. R.I.P. Ray Thomas

That's really sad. The MB's are one of my favorite bands and the last three concerts that I was able to go to were the MB's. RIP Ray and thanks for all the good memories. Thanks for the post mud.

Very sad especially since right before HoF. I saw the Moody's a few times (the Long Distance Voyager tour was particular awesome). RIP, sir...

Thanks, for the thread, mud

Sad on one hand, and fortunate on the other to have experienced the talented Ray Thomas for whom the Moody Blues would not have been the same. That was a great story, SBLS. Thanks, for sharing it.

R.I.P. Ray. You are now part of ‘other side of life’, may it be peaceful.
