It is official. I'm a bad boy again, baby. As every bad boy should, I jumped the gun. A russian fella at the door said that he had a package for me. He returned with a large box cradled in his arms like a big baby. He set it inside for me said merry christmas and left. '65 blackfaced super reverb I'm guesssing is in that box, he must've got it off Santa's sleigh.

You've been very naughty, Rollie.

For your punishment you must practice 2 hours a day with the SR until the new year.

Tsk Tsk Tsk.
What are we going to do with you?
Hmmm?

What a nice fella to have been so thoughtful to find a warm home for that package likely from a cold truck. When those valves heat up you’ll be able to chill out with the best.

Congrats, Rollie. Great choice.

A Super Reverb cradled in his arms like a baby? I'm picturing Arnold Schwarzenegger with a white beard!

My '65 SR sounds just like my original. The reverb and vibrato, the footswitch even the YM cable work perfectly. Getting wonderful sounds from my Stratocaster with the new brass nut. Stratocaster and super reverb is a great combination. The hard case for my strat fits tight but ok, Vinni's package is full of v-pick goodies but I haven't mustered the courage to plug in the Keeley pedal.

With those tools you should be rockin’ around the Christmas tree to bring in the New Year, SBLS.
Very cool 8)
Enjoy the bliss.

It turns out that not posting pics yet is a good thing. The Weeping demon wah had to be returned ( it started cutting out after about 5 minutes using it), so my new MXR MC 404 Custom Audio Electronics Wah was delivered today. It has a red fasel inductor and a yellow fasel inductor. The red emphasizes the low tones, the yellow the upper tones. There are many wah choices and I looked at most of the youtube videos for wah pedals. This one has a 20 db boost which drives my amp nicely (might not need a distortion pedal anymore). With my Strat and the Keeley Engineering Monterey fuzz turned up this wah has some magic. Still waiting for a couple more deliveries and then I will post pics.

That’s great your MXR MC 404 Custom Audio Electronics Wah is working for ya, Rollie.

Gotta have those fasels!
More deliveries to come? Boy! That sounds like good times coming. Enjoy, bro’.

You’ll be videoing on the ‘Funk Music, every day people, good for the soul’ thread before ya know it. :P

As for me, I get a new Hercules wall hanger for the Strat today.

Lucky you FSB, I'm not allowed to put any holes in the walls so I am still using regular guitar stands. A video would be good but it will be some time before that happens, pic's first. My birthday is coming up in a few days but it will be tough to out do Christmas. I am still surprised by what happened Christmas morning. 8)

Well, let me wish you an early Happy Birthday my friend. That’s a great reason to have GAS and a lot of fun toys. I’m happy for ya.

As for being lucky to be able to hang the axe, it’s a double edge sword. I wish it were drywall; but, instead it’s paneling. I think I can get away with it this time, but it does have some restriction.

I was looking at new stands, but there are several reasons for not finding one to my liking. The last one fell over on the carpet, the Strat hit a rack, and I got a smidge of a ding on the edge of new headstock (little to speak of fortunately), and yet that got me looking at the hanger solution. Hopefully, this will solve the problem of a wall to wall rug not being stand friendly. :D
