You know how long people have been predicting the imminent demise of Guitar Center?

I avoid shopping there like the plague, so it's of no consequence to me what happens to them at this point. Like the old saying goes, not my circus, not my monkeys.

The main thing I like about GC is being able to try out lots of gear. I never made any major purchases there though. I'd rather help support my local mom 'n' pop music store or buy online from my favorite supplier. If they do go out of business, maybe we will see some good bargain sales.

This aint news, GC has been circling the drain for over a decade now.

I never had much use for Guitar Center. IF I Can't find what I need locally, (and I usually can't) I ping my sales tech at sweetwater, and the problem is swiftly solved.

But, on the other hand... one of the reasons so many local stores closed, was the emergence of places like Guitar Center and Mars Music which eventually drove the guys living on the already slim margins out of business.

so yea,, they can go.. I for one... don't care..
