OK, not quite a Pilgrimage. It was just a short walk and monorail ride from my hotel where I’m at in Seattle on business.
I got to see two legendary guitars (among many others). Eric Clapton’s Brownie and The Hendrix Olympic While strat he played at Woodstock.
I stared at both for quite some time. The Hendrix guitar is visible from the rear as well which is very cool.
I wish I knew if the guitars were still setup the way they were when they were played. I was trying estimate pickup height and angle as well as action (A Little obsessive I know).

Anyway, if your ever in the area, this is a fun place to visit.

I've visited the EMP myself. What a great place! It was so cool seeing guitars and handwritten lyrics from artisits like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. They even had one of Eddies old Frankenstrats there. Well worth the visit...

This thread reminds me that I ought to look for photos from our trip to the EMP. I can't remember if I got any good ones of Brownie or Hendrix' Woodstock set up ...

Hmmmmmm

I hope to see the EMP someday, but it's about as far away from here as one can travel and still stay in the contiguous 48. The company I work for has a facility near Boeing. Now if I can talk the boss into a business trip . . .

I'm with the guy above me, North Alabama to Washington isn't exactly an easy trip, although, I have been meaning to go since I heard about it.

I was just there yesterday, while on a road trip from Cleveland OH to Seattle WA... It was kinda cool to start my sightseeing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and end at the Experience Music Project. Anyways the EMP is a great place and a MUST SEE for anyone stopping by the Emerald city.
