Would you guys please critique my bands singer please, just be completely honest. If there’s anything else you want to critique about the band, please feel free, thanks.

Honestly, lots of good things here. The playing ability is fine. Your singer has good tone, and the growl in his singing is a bonus for this song.

If I have it right, playing in a confined space had it’s compromises speaking as one who has recently discovered some hearing loss from years of control rooms and instruments, etc.

When the solo comes in you might consider having the guitar increase the volume and/or tone to cut in and come forward amongst the rest of the band. There’s some good licks there, and that’s when it’s time to shine. :D
The chorus has good harmony. My only suggestion would be to do it tighter and with force and meaning. Think of it this way “Flip, flop fly . . . don’t care if I die . . . ” is not something of little importance. It’s not a ballad. You can tell someone quietly or you can shout it to the world! It does need to be equally harmonious amongst the group though as you wouldn’t want to give an individual impression of those lyrics. “I” becomes one with the band when in unison. I don’t know if that makes any sense.

If it sounds good then it needs to be heard (just one man’s opinion). It’s sort of like playing the drums. There are times to lay back and times for accents and dynamics. It can add to your performance, which, some will or will not agree, is tantamount to that of just putting it out there. But, that said even without my critique, it is clear that you guys are rockin’ it with fun. I’ll take it as is too. Sounds good. Pass it on.

Cheers!
FSB

The overwhelming feeling that I get is that the sound isn't mixed right, you can hardly hear the singer or the lead guitar, all you hear is the bass and percussion.

Don't give up trying it sounds asthough you work together well as a group.

Nice video, thanks for posting. The singer sounds good as does the rest of your band.

He's not too bad. A little off in spots but not bad all in all. Pick up the tempo a bit, that would help the song.

Band sounds good, keep on truckin'.

Vocals sound authentic to the style, but the way he's "grinding" on certain words - some people just seem to be bullet-proof and they can do that for years and years. Most people are not bullet-proof and it can cause vocal damage if it's coming from the wrong place. I would say this (and I hope it comes off as the compliment it is): he should seek out a very qualified vocal instructor, not because he doesn't sound good, but because he does sound good and should invest the time and money in protecting his "instrument".

Either the video has expired, or been taken down, or my computer won't allow it. All I see is a black rectangle where the video should be...nothing to click on.

Need to post just the youtube link below the include for those of us whose computer (or work servers) block the embedded preview. Workaround is to quote and then cut out line, but that's a pain!)

I like the slower tempo! Agree that the vocals and lead need to be louder in the mix. You have some feedback going on that hurts my ears. Need a bit of "presence" in the mix too, IMO. But honesty, sounds good though... if I walked into a bar with you playing, it'd put me in the mood to buy a drink and settle in!

(Actually, I don't drink, so that's rhetorical, but you get what I mean!)

:)

Best!
