As a late born Dead Head, I can't describe how much I enjoy what these guys do with Dead and Company.

Of course, the purists will say that Mayer's playing is much too different from Garcia's, but we gotta roll with what we got in these poor days when real music is surrounded by tons of plastic nonsense.

I REALLY like to see them on the road, touring and jamming live. Weir's vibe is still great and it's kinda like having GD again.

As an Old Dead Head ( first show 01-22-1968 ) and I miss Jerry very much, I am so happy with Dead and Company and I have gained respect for John Mayer, this guy can really play his guitar, of course he will not sound exactly like Jerry, he does get Jerryish with his own flair, and I think that is a good thing, as he owns what he is playing not borrowing
