Thanks, for the confirmation, Lightnin’.

You’ll be missed, but the music will play on TP.

This breaks my heart.

I saw Tom Petty in Tampa last May for the first and now the last time :(

I first became aware of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in my senior year of high school(1977), and have been a fan ever since. I loved the early years of MTV when they played a lot of his videos.

Say hello to Roy and George for me Tom.

I am so glad that he didn't back down!

I saw TP & The H on their first major concert tour in 1977 and have been a fan ever since.

Rest In Peace Tom

RIP Tom. I didn't think he was going to be with us too much longer, after following the reports of him being taken off life support. Tom is with God now, and hopefully in a better place with no pain.

My first memory of him was seeing him on MTV, when it first aired, and I remember some kid wearing a "Damned The Torpedoes" t-shirt when I was in middle school. It's going to be strange to think that he's gone, especially since I never even heard of him being ill, or having any health issues. In fact, he was just on tour. Someone posted a concert video on YouTube of him live from this past July.
