Unlike 'u'...'wee' usual carry road flares in case of a break down in the dark.\

If 'wee' require a lighter, 'wee' cn boro wun frum 'u'.

Think you're generation is original????? Years ago a system of shorthand writing was developed. The ad for same ran as follows: "u cn lrn to wrt an gt a gd jb at hi pa."

Unfortunately, if you have any aspirations to higher education, the skill levels will definitely have to improve. However, you may get lucky if the entire system gets 'all stupid" on itself and begins to accept this gibberish as common communications skills. Then we can fully expect to become a third world nation for sure.

Doc

I'm sorry about using "u" in the title. I usually use aim speak in everything else but I really try to use proper english here. Now then, their was no need for such a large blow up about a missing two letters.

You need to find the 'wingfield m' threads to understand where this is coming from.

There exists a wide ranging and very sophisticated body within this Forum. Players of all ages and walks of life who share a commonality which brings them together under this roof.

There are players here whose first Fender guitars were built 50 years ago or more, and they purchased them new. Think on that.

Excepting those for whom English is not a first language spoken or written, the general tenor herein is that posts be as well composed as possible.

Many of us are 'old guys' intolerant of what we are seeing in written communication and seeking to preserve the status quo within our life times. After that, well, the torch will have been passed, perhaps to be quenched.

i understand that i am probably one of the youngest posting members on the fender forums(age 14) and reading some of the 'wingfield m' posts just make me cringe, but see, I actually try to speak proper english. but, if u tink i tlk like dis, ur wrong bro. I speak more like this, usually using proper punctuation and grammer. I will admit i don't often capitalize my "I" but that's the least of my worries.

I think for me........it takes up some of my time to try and decipher a lot of the misspellings and (on purpose) "cool-speak. I prefer to communicate in a clear and concise manor. For the misspelling part.....Fender was good enough to provide a spell checker, where it underlines misspelled works in red. So I guess there is no excuse for misspellings. And.....it's a great learning tool as well. (OK.....misspelling looks wrong to me....but Fender says, that's how it's spelled.)

I suppose then, that we can leave the future safely in your hands.

Thanks.

Well I don't do the lighter thing anymore but did it many times in the past. In fact back in the 70's you did not just take it to hold it in the air. That was a different time. Plus age and responsibility changes us all but thinking back to when I was 17 and 18 fun times. Now I am just a middle aged cool dude and having fun other ways.
