Now the attention turns to Georgia and the Carolinas. I hope it just continues to weaken as it approaches those more flood-prone areas.

So glad to see that puppy waddle off in a different direction than first thought, Mike. Too bad it’ll leave it’s mark over a week.

Tornados are another concern. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Georgia and the Carolinas as you mentioned, Mike.

As bad as it is, it’s a time for everyone to come together.

This is as good a time as any to thank you all for taking part here in this thread.

Take care,
FSB

How’s the vodka insurance paying off, Mike?

FSB, no issue w/ worms at all. Your posts are as well appreciated!
In my mind it all comes down to the matrix:medium and one's own perspective. The deeper you go, the more worms you get until you dont get any more worms.

A weaker storm but a wider one, Yin & Yang.

Keep aiming in the right direction, Sheriff. Hopefully, it’s on the run this time.

CNN had some very good aerial video of the devastation that occurred in the Great Abaco and Grand Bahama islands. The faster Dorian moves north the sooner aide will be available. Also reported the US Coast Guard had a ship on the way and that both US & British helicopters had made emergency evacuations of injured personnel.
Glad to see you ended up on the south side of Dodge, Glenn!

That Bahamas overhead view was an eye opener, sfceric64. A picture is worth a thousand words. This sadly is worth all of those and more. On the other hand silence is golden. I know Barbados and it’s people will shine again. Heartfelt thoughts go out to the survivors.

Yeah, me too! The total devastation of the Northern Bahamas is heartbreaking.

In the all Hurricanes I've seen in S Florida, since 1959, this one was the one that baffled me beyond belief. Image

Apollo is doing just fine. The lower barometric pressures didn't seem to bother him too much. He was pleased however, that my wife was home Monday for Labor Day, and Tuesday for the storm day.
All in all, in my location, we got off extremely lucky.

Good news, Glenn. Let Apollo know I said, “It’s treat time for being such a good dog.” :D Ya better come through too, or I’ll talk him into guarding the Jello box. Perry Mason won’t be of much help.
