What everyone else has said for the most part. Teles have a great tone that's well suited for that type of guitar playing.

And as for grammar, look at it this way. Typing a sentence with correct grammar and spelling takes two more seconds or less. With those two seconds, you get everyone to take what you write seriously. If I were to see a bunch of jibberish, I would think the person was uneducated, while I would assume that someone with correct spelling at least had some education and maturity.

Here's the bottom line. There's a vernacular description for what this young lady is doing which will remain unspoken. We can all continue to play into it, thus giving her the power, or stay silent on anything else she posts. I for one prefer the latter.

For my part she either rises to a level of maturity expected if she desires to continue to interface with the group, or falls silent and goes elsewhere, finding a forum of her peers with whom she can find comfort.

Doc.

I was itching to say something, but I think I will remain silent (I won't scratch that itch). What will happen, will happen.......

I think a lot of rock guitarists use Teles in the studio because they are such incredible tone machines. They vary from bright twangy all the way to husky bluesy.

Seems like players play Teles in the studio and Strats live, because Strats cut through the mix so well.

I'm a bass player, so whuddo I know. If I ever learn to play guitar, it will be on a Tele.

In regards to spelling. It doesn't bother me how ppl spell if it gets the idea across. It's all about communiction and I'm able to understand the gist. I mean texting is for fun. I call it "spilling" instead of spelling. 8)
I hope that ppl actually do know how to spell correctly, because if you can't write/spell/communicate you may end up on the dole and then it will be my biz as a taxpayer

Speaking of enterprising, entrepreneurial capitalists, there's a guy who's taking to the nines, serving as the poster boy for an audience who identifies with and takes his image seriously, and is laughing all the way to the bank.

With respect to his business acumen. I applaud him....he and Marilyn as well.

Someone had to say it. The only time you see a Tele is not on the HEE HAW. I like my Tele!

I have a thinline tele, and I love it. Deep rich sound (it's different, with two humbuckers). All kinds of tastes out there, so the guitar companies cater to that, and make a big variety. So it's all just a matter of personal choice.

The Tele's are known for it's tinny sound which country guitarist look for. Granted Jimmy Page was known to use the Tele for Led Zep I. Most rockers prefer the Strat.

There are, of course, some notable exceptions:

I like Strats and Jazzmasters, but I LOVE Teles! All three are different animals from each other. I don't care much for that neck single coil in a standard Tele, I have a '52 Tele USA RI with a humbucker in the neck and a 5-way switch that gives me all the versatility I need (I think that should be standard issue). If I need something heavier sounding, then a '72 Tele Thinline RI is my way to go.

Besides, Tele's are sturdy! I've never had one that needed anything more than a minor tweak or repair. Especially after something happened that would really mess up any other guitar.
