Who is the best blues band from your area that probably is not known well outside of your area? I live in Central PA and my vote would go to either Nate Myers and the Aces or The Blind Chitlin Kahunas. Anybody know these two great bands from out of Central PA. Who do you recommend from your area?

Rev. Raven and the ??? I don't remember what the band calls themselves. They tour all over the place. I've seen them a few times up here in the midwest. Rev. Raven is an amazing blues guitarist.

I didn't know you were from that area. My Family is from the Bedford Co. area. I am related to MOST of the well known families there.

I see them listed at Blues festivals all the time -- Rev. Raven and His Chain-Smokin' Altar Boys !! I confess I'm not familiar with their work, but I love the band's name.

Here's a couple from South Florida:

Albert Castiglia -- A young guy (as bluesmen go) who was Junior Wells' last guitarist.

Joey Gilmore - A SoFla Blues legend. He won the IBC (twice, but that's another story), but still isn't well known outside of the area.

Check them out.
