ahh that's a shame, I enjoyed the posts, knowledge sharing and stark sense of humor.

Good luck Arjay, maybe you'll reconsider and return, after all there are other photo hosting sites, and eventually, maybe even Fender will find a way to allow hosting with out a 3rd party site to get in the way (I think all the "FREE" sites are eventually going to run down the same path Photobucket has)

Yep...PhotoBucket officially blows, that's true. And I've never tried anything else---I'm gonna look.
Pictures are a big part of this site's format, sharing new gear, identifying old gear, diagnosing instrument problems...you'd think Fender Forum Administrators would find a way to host photo's themselves.
I don't blame you one bit Arjay; for some....without an easy solution to 3rd. party hosting, this is nothing more than just a place to hang out with people that share similar interest's, and chit-chat.

Hey, Arjay. We're all like crayons in a box. Everyone has a preference for which ones we like least, and which ones we like best, and those choices change from time to time.

Sometimes a crayon is used up or lost, sometimes it is replaced, and sometimes not.

Let it be known that there will always be a place here for you, Arjay.

Roger, it has been fun and I'll see you further on up the road. You've been a helluva inspiration and are a great friend. Hand Salute to ya.

I'm sad to see this Arjay. I'm in the middle of a move and just got my internet back.

You are a wealth of information and helped me with my troublesome TRRI (working great now). Maybe we'll pass through AZ sometime to see the Grand Canyon. - Larry

Maybe even take the lead back.

Ha! It was just over 10 years ago that I registered and started posting here (10 years and 6 days). When
Nick Fenton (nikininja) and I would comment on many topics. I've seen many come and go. The post count
doesn't really matter to much to me. The time being 'active' here does.

Not sure why...but, seems like the Millennials (not all of them) feel a certain urgency and/or importance to numbers. i.e.- Facebook friends, Twitter followers, forum posts and/or "thanks", "likes", "thumbs up", etc... I'm not part of any Social Medias (just forums of specific generas)---and never once understood the appeal.
Not knocking it, to each their own; just never was interested.

When the door to one building closes, another door opens. Arjay, thanks for all the help, support and knowledge you shared with us all. Your absence will surely not go unnoticed, and I appreciate you keeping your email door open to us all.

Peace.

I think his departure is more an element of the lack of interesting forum content more than anything else; and I am as guilty as any one of not being interesting ... And as for the "here is my 25,000th post, and I am outta here..." thing, that honestly looks like someone who could use something better to do with his time than this anyway...

To those whom I helped correct an issue with their gear, it was my pleasure. For those whom I pissed off with my sarcastic wit and sustained needling, that was my pleasure as well. And for those who simply stood on the sidelines in rapt amazement, I hope you enjoyed the show. Those of you who regard me as a friend with useful information to share will always find my e-mail “door” open and to those who regard me as a reprehensible braggart and a politically-incorrect neanderthal, I offer these three words: GET OVER IT.

All of the above. That's probably why I like the guy, everybody needs some roughage in their diet, you can't just eat ice cream all the time. He would get in a pissing contest with someone in one thread and then offer them sound technical advice in another thread, never seeming to hold any grudges.

Arjay

I strongly suspect he will be back. He loves this forum too much to stay away too long. So, au revoir, Arjay, not adieu.

Arjay,

You can't leave! You're an amazing asset to this forum! Think about the line from Hotel California...
"You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave"!!!
