It’s been swell but with the recent demise of Photobucket (for my purposes) I find little enjoyment or purpose in further participation here. To those whom I helped correct an issue with their gear, it was my pleasure. For those whom I pissed off with my sarcastic wit and sustained needling, that was my pleasure as well. And for those who simply stood on the sidelines in rapt amazement, I hope you enjoyed the show. Those of you who regard me as a friend with useful information to share will always find my e-mail “door” open and to those who regard me as a reprehensible braggart and a politically-incorrect neanderthal, I offer these three words: GET OVER IT. In conclusion, I offer my thanks to Brad for all the times he restored my log-in credentials after the numerous forum “improvements” and his gentle intervention when debates grew too “lively”. Perhaps I shall return in the future but for now it’s adios, au revoir, arrivederci, auf wiedersehen, dosvedonya, and farewell.

Arjay

Heck Arjay, that makes me sad. You are a presence I've always looked forward to here, and as you have to so many, you proved helpful when a beloved amp was in peril. Wish you the best, and continued enjoyment of your wonderful collection.
Best,
BD

And he made his last post #25000
That's going out in style.

That's going out in style.

He has done that at least twice that I can remember.
His 10,000th post was the last he made for several months.
Then he eventually came back.
His 20,000th post was also the start of a break from here; not as long as the 10,000 one.
Now, it's 25,000 and he'll be gone for a while again.
I highly doubt it will be forever.
The self portrait he painted was humorous and pretty much bang on.

Maybe now Mike can go on a posting spree to get his count back up and close the gap.
Maybe even take the lead back.

It takes a real do nothing to post 25000 times in a little over five and a half years.

If this "Look at me" tool was really leaving, he would've posted his password.

I think you made your point the first time, Bob.
You're not too crazy about Arjay.
I think we get it.

I might point out that it also doesn't take much to make snide comments and baseless innuendos.
Arjay might be rough and abrupt and he might rub many people the wrong way but one thing he is not and that's stupid.
He is a fountain of Fender related information and is respected by at least as many as those who dislike him.
The point is, people who dislike him do so for his style, not his information.
Your IQ comment shows who YOU are, not who he is.

For those who dislike him, enjoy the hiatus. For everyone else, he'll be back unless he's dead.

We have been diminished !!

I am saddened by Roger's departure, his contributions were, imo, some of the best reasons to be here.

Unlike many passive-agressives here, with Roger, there was little ambiguity. He does not suffer fools well.

I call him a friend, a mentor, and thank him in abstentia for all the guidance, counsel and near-encyclopedic knowledge which he gave freely to me and anyone who asked.

For me, I think his greatest attribute was his Patriotism. A life dedicated to his Country and his Countrymen, preserving the freedoms which allow his detractors to speak freely here.

I can only hope that those postulating that his departure may be temporary are correct.

I hope we will all benefit from his contributions in future.

But as I said: "We have been diminished !!"

cheers!

@PPB,

Totally Un-Cool man !!

Your post is the embodiment of the phrase "Haters gonna Hate" !!

Clearly your Mama never schooled you: "If you can't say anything nice about someone... ".

Please don't reply to this, my opinion!

I'd prefer our interaction be held to a minimum.

cheers!

Arjay, it's been a pleasure.
I'll raise a glass of Ardbeg (Friday @sunsetish) and send a kind thought across the ocean.

BTW, I sense a chance of reappearing; I'm sure you used au revoir, arrivederci, auf wiedersehen purposely.
