OK, here's the wrap-up I promised previously: Fender chipped in and offered a hefty discount on the amp, but taxes and shipping brought the grand total back up just a tad. It's en route to Miami Mike as we speak and all told we were out $284.79 on it so that was the amount that we needed to collect.

The great news is that, thanks to a number of last minute contributions that came in, our final total was well over that amount. All in all, $462.86 in donations were received.

So, I've cut Mike a check for the difference ($178.07) and will be sending that along to him for him to use as he pleases. (Well, I take that back, Mike ... you must spend it on something *FUN*, that's the only requirement. :-) )

Once again, thanks to everyone who contributed for your participation here and I hope we've all helped brighten Mike's day a bit!

This REALLY has made my day! With the slowly building anxiety of beginning my 3rd cycle of chemo next week, reading this just leaves me very speechless, thankful and happy to be a member of this great Fender community. Many thanks to Brad, Fender and all who have helped to make this happen.

Thank You: Two small words to convey the infinite feeling in my heart.

Mike - be well and enjoy the new toy - I'm sure it will help you thru the rough spots.

Our thoughts are with you.

You must post some photos when the new toy arrives :P

I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this possible - this is a great growing, caring community that has formed - and of course Brad and the crew at Fender deserve thanks too for allowing us to come together under the Fender banner.

Once more, take care Mike,

Gil 8)

Well stated Gil and again thank you to all. As I've said before, I'm very proud to be a part of this great Fender Community.

Hi all...the G-DEC 30 arrived early this morning. :)

I wanted to once again thank everyone that was involved in making this happen. I'm very thankful for the continued support and the generosity that I've seen from this fine Fender Community.

I was able to take one quick pic :

Where as I begin my 3rd cycle of chemo tomorrow, I might be playing my guitars today more than posting.

Again, thank you to Brad, the folks at Fender and the many generous members of the Fender Community for "making my day". This amp is going to get a lot of use during the next several months and will hopefully help to keep my chops up while undergoing chemo treatments.

Chet, this is a treatment week, I don't think I want to post a pic of me yet, but when I'm feeling (and looking) a bit better, I will.
