AXSTV has been showing a lot of vintage up to 50th anniversary shows of Brian Wilson
and The Beach Boys. Even on the Beach Boys movie it shows Murray getting Fender gear
for the band. Through the years they used a lot of Fender guitars, basses and amps.

Does anyone know if they ever had an endorsement deal with Fender?

Indeed they did. Several of the early '60s catalogs show The Beach Boys as Fender endorsees though they did not use Fender gear exclusively.

Okay and yes I did see a lot of other gear as well. Hmm...wonder what ever
happened to those 60s guitars and amps they had...

I too watch those programs over and over.

In the 5oth Aniversary concert it looked like Blues Jr. amps sitting on stage behind them. Couldn't really get a real clear look at them.

I'm guessing that the cost for cocaine addiction claimed many during the intervening years.

All I could tell is that they were tweed. Seemed a bit large for Blues Jrs. Maybe Hot Rod Deluxe IIIs?

I'll have to re-watch it. The ones I saw were smaller and black.
