Hi,
I've got a strat american deluxe HSS

It has a pressable volume knob for volume boost and I would like to change it to a different color.
Been trying to find this type of knob on AliExpress but with no avail :)
Wouldn't want to install a non-pressable knob so...

Anyone can help with telling me the search phrase for this kind of knob?

Thanks

That button on the volume knob is called an S-1 switch system or just S-1 and it doesn't boost the volume, it basically gives you a much wider range of sounds by allowing different pickup combinations. I'm not too sure but I think the function of the pickup selector when the s-1 is on has changed with different year models... can someone correct or confirm this?

That's right, AmDlxHSS's come with different wirings. Shawbucker versions, passing lanes, splittables...
So to get specs (control functions) for this particular guitar would require the exact model&year.

And an S1 isn't Joseph (with his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), it's AFAIK only available in white, off-white, black. The comforting aspect is, that's two more than a Model-T.

Switching between parallel and serial certainly boosts the volume, all other things being equal.

That certainly appears to be the case. I have an Amn. Dlx Strat single coils with the S-1 switch, and, although I haven't tried it, other pickup configurations such as HSS may indeed boost the volume more or less than SSS switched in. I say this, without verification, only because the single coils setup, S-1 switched off, in my case, blend the volume quite well. There can be a different match of volume when H and S is mounted in some cases. Whether that is more noticeable with the S-1 and in/out phase/serial/parallel combos I can't say. YMMV.
