A belated happy 4th to everyone! Actually spent last week doing potentially the most appropriately celebratory thing ever: visited Washington, DC. Was pretty amazing seeing the original version of the founding documents (among tons of other things), not gonna lie!
That must have been an interesting experience, Brad. Glad you got to do that. I and others don’t think of Washington as a historical music town amongst the Philly, Detroit, Chicago, and whatnot scene away from the coasts and Nashville and Memphis to be brief. Well, I was finally informed with some telecasts and discovered that city delivered some pretty potent contributors. I hope you got to sample some local music on your trip. Nevertheless, what a terrific way to celebrate the holiday.
Cheers!

Was only there a couple days and didn't get to take any music while there unfortunately - had to stay focused on the prime touristy stuff on this visit as I'd never been. Hopefully next time!

Touristy things are fun and, at least for me, there always seems to be more than I have time for plus the fact that I often learn of the things I should have seen later. It seems the farther away it is or the less chance I have of a return visit, the odds are I’ll miss out on something big, and usually it was just around the corner from where I had been standing. FSB

Same here and this particular trip was definitely about squeezing in as much as possible in as little time as possible ... with full knowledge that I'll need to return and hit a few things more deeply next time.
