1. How often due you change your strings?
2. Do you buy them in bulk or one or two set a time?
3. What do you clean them with between changes?
4. Do you try other brand from time to time?

--------------------------------------------------------------

Me I change about every 3 weeks on most guits.
I always buy in bulk and have at least a dozen packs on hand.
For cleaning I have found that I like Stringfellow string cleaner.
I do try different strings from time to time just to compare, those I do not buy in bulk unless I liked the test pack

1. I change my strings whenever they sound/feel dead to me.

2. I buy in bulk. Right now I have enough strings to last me about 2 years.

3. I make sure my hands are clean before I play and just wipe them off when I'm done playing.

4. I experimented with different brands before I settled on the brand I use. If a new kind of string comes out I might try it.

1. How often due you change your strings?
Probably every 2 months or so. It really depends on whether they still sound good to me. I usually use some string care, so they don't go out as fast. If one breaks though and it's been 1 month or so, I'll replace the whole set.

2. Do you buy them in bulk or one or two set a time?
Usually just one or two at a time because I don't chance my with nearly the same frequency as many players out there.

3. What do you clean them with between changes?
Fender string cleaner

4. Do you try other brand from time to time?
Sometimes. It depends on the guitar. With my strat, I'm usually pretty constant with Super Slinky's, but with my Les Paul, I'll change it up every once in a while, but that usually has D'Addarios on it.

I usually buy in bulk once I'm sure of the string and gauge I like on that guitar.
Replacement varies for me...
If I am not playing live or on stage I will often use the strings to death. lol
You can actually clean them with alcohol or some other substance...
Eventually they break on me or I just decide I want some brightness back...
But the older strings are alot more prone to breaking...
So if playing out, I use fairly new strings...
Within a couple weeks old for sure.

Ever heard of boiling your strings? lol
It's not for all types but...
It helps em stretch out and also helps them take
some of the edge off that super bright sound u get from unplayed strings.

The guitars I use regularly get changed every month or so. My Fender Strat went four months with the factory strings, because I never found anything wrong with them.

I buy a few sets at a time. I actually use various discounts and bonuses to buy them, so I rarely actually pay for strings. I get a coupon for $15 off any purchase, I buy $15 worth of strings.

I may wipe them off if I can see something stuck to them, but I don't really clean them.

I use quite a few different brands. For my acoustic, I think I've settled on Martin something-or-others, after using Fender strings for a while. For the Casino, I really like D'Addario, with a yellow ring on the package, but at the moment I'm using eithe Ernie Ball or Boomers. The Strat has whichever isn't on the Casino.

I change after every month or two of playing.

1. I change them whenever they start to feel or sound crappy, but no set time frame (its hard to keep track with 12 guitars...).

2. I get the D'Addario 10-packs because its usually cheaper per set, and each set is individually sealed.

3. Only if there is something on the strings, otherwise, not really.

4. When I was younger I tried many brands, and then settled on D'Addario's, and I tend to go with the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." mindset, so I haven't really thought about trying another brand in over 15 years.

1. How often due you change your strings?
Every few months. This is playing daily for maybe an hour.

2. Do you buy them in bulk or one or two set a time?
One or two sets at a time.

3. What do you clean them with between changes?
I'm probably overly fastidious. I treat the fretboard with Fender fretboard cleaner when I change strings. I tried Dunlop 65 string cleaner, but didn't really like it. I have just started using Fastfret, with the wooden applicator. Fastfret is fabulous. It's intended to be used each time you play the guitar, and that's what I do. It's such a relief because it makes it easier on my fingers when I bend and slide. My fingers don't hurt anymore after playing. It's also really easy to use.

4. Do you try other brand from time to time?
Infrequently. I switched from Fender .009 strings to D'Addario .010 strings. I like the D'Addarios better because they sound better, so I'll just stick with them.

I change strings about every 2 weeks. I hate dead strings.

I don't use anything special to clean em, just wipe em off when I'm done playing. They usually aren't on there long enough to get filthy.

I've been using the same brand, Ernie Ball Slinky's, since the 70's.

I usually buy boxed sets of 10 a few times a year.

I only wipe down the strings with an old T-shirt to get off the sweat. I also wipe down the fretboard with a T-shirt to get off the sweat (I sweat a lot). When I change strings, I'll put some guitar honey, or a similar product to clean the fretboard.

I've had my guitar for about a year and I've changed the strings about 6 times, twice in the past few weeks since I've been playing much more frequently.

Right now I have EB Super Slinky's on there. I've tried the Fender Super Bullets and just didn't like the feel. Since I'm a Dave Gilmour fan I fell into the trap of buying his GHS strings out of curiosity, haha. I'm going to try them in a little bit.

1. I change the a guitars strings when they sound dull or are pitted from the frets on the underside.
2. I will buy in bulk.
3. I use a clean microfiber cloth on both sides of the strings.
4. I did early on but now I have found strings that I am really happy with. Now I stick to those.
