That is so very cool, Kyle.
Congrats!
And enjoy!

Now that you're out of high school, whatcha gonna do?

Obviously, your parents have good taste in guitars and a fine son. Well deserved graduate. Now get crackin' and work that baby. :D

Looks like a plan. Good luck with your record, Kyle. The business of music production and distribution can be pretty daunting at times, huh? It constantly changes and can be clear as mud, and yet those who know how to work with it have a better chance of success. All too often music management is overlooked or the weak link. Delegation sometimes helps.

Sound engineering is even more exciting than ever. Hardware and software will always evolve sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Tools need to be learned and they will come and go. Talent and experience stays with you so it is, perhaps, your best investment. It seldom hurts to build and record it from the get go. A good strong history will serve you well.

Production methods and having one's own style and/or skill can make you stand out from another. Trust your gut and your ears at times, and make mistakes work for you, and be open to question as to why something can't be done, and then prove it can. Just like in photography, you get better when you learn how and when to use or bend the rules. Some of music's best things happen that way.

This is just a wish to encourage you in your quest to reach your dream, Kyle. You have a lot of great background already to open the doors. I just want you to be ready for the reality of what's behind those doors. Politics, scoundrels, a close community, mentors, appreciative clients, and some of the greatest times you'll ever find.

Here's to those great times and your goal, Kyle. I have a feeling you're going to do just fine. :D
Best
