Another example of Gibson humbuckers into British valve amps. There's something special about that, for sure, just like there's something special about a Strat into a Deluxe.

My go to is a '95-'96 MIM Standard Strat. It's really a great player. I do like the scale of my LP and SG though. I've been having GAS for a custom with a Strat-style body, 24 3/4 ebony fingerboard, HSS, etc. I saw a video of an old teacher of mine using an unusual looking guitar so I sent her an email and she gave me the name of the custom shop that built it. Don't know if it's ok to mention the name here but the pricing was not as crazy as I thought.

I switch between a G & L Legacy Sunburst Strat and a blonde Godin Montreal Premiere playing through an Allen Sweet Spot. I have a 72 Telecaster thinline reissue being set up and to be picked up this week. We will see where that fits in. Jazz and blues baby!

Great guitars, although the RI's don't have the threaded CuNiFe screw magnets of the originals, but an AlNiCo bar magnet with metal pole piece screws. That makes the RI hotter and slightly less biting on the treble side, but still pretty good. I like mine, especially for playing clean. The vintage hardtail bridge gives an extra 3/32 of an inch between the strings at the bridge compared with a standard Tele, which makes fingerstyle play easier for me. YMMV.

Some nice gear posted here. Which one would I pick? Eenie Meenie Minnie Mo . . . Naw, they're all great. I'll take 'em all.

My GAS was in remission, but these posts and this thread makes it flare up every now and then. "Out damn spot", I say.
