I was not a fan of Jimi for many many years. I am now a huge fan and have over 150 officially released cd's and shows that I have downloaded off the internet.

My appreciation and love of his music has grown over the years. He really was a musical genius. Definitely one of the greats.

LOVE Jimi! Tied with Zappa for fave guitarist, with EVH and Jeff Beck close behind.

Fave album: Cry of Love
Fave song: Message to Love
Fave band: w/ Mitchell and Cox, although I liked Band of Gypsies too.

Jimi, one of my all time favorites. I never tire of listening to him. Monterey 1967 is my favorite as far as recordings and my fav song is All Along the Watch Tower. You could say I grew up on Hendrix since i was a teenager in 1967 and a garage band player.

Are we now to be persuaded that Darth Vader is not your favorite guitar hero nor your muse the Emperor Palpatine?
For quite awhile back there my professional instincts were telling me that all was not well "a long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away!"

Doc

I've always liked Hendrix, right from the time he first came out. Too bad it was only a short career.

It would honestly surprise me if there were more than 10 people who frequent the forums who AREN'T big Hendrix fans. I think to play guitar, especially Fenders, you have to have a lot of respect and admiration for him, and Clapton.

Very cool to hear that you listen to and are a fan of Jimi Hendrix. He did some very profound stuff with his guitar that still exist in guitar players today.
