i used to just change my strings on a whim but i decided no to do that anymoe. i picked up my schecter c-1 plus with ernie ball power slinky (11-48) strings the other day and i noticed string bends were a bit harder to do. i then slid my finger across the bottom of the strings and i couldn't tell if i was feeling flat spots or dirt underneath my strings because i use fingerease. any tips would be great.

I don't understand what you're asking - be more specific?

well, my strings just feel a lot tighter than they used to. is that a symptom of my strings getting old?

They're probably all gunked up. If you can feel dirt under the strings you need to change em.

The humidity might have affected the neck and the truss rod might need to be tweaked for more or less relief?
