Last year when I was visiting my daughters in Labrador for Christmas,I took the short 20 minute drive into Fermont,Que. for a little shopping trip.While I was there a novelty/souvenir store had a going out of business sale and I managed to pick up a 1:18 diecast of the James Bond DB-5 with the ejector seat,revolving licence plates,spinning tire shredders,pop up rear bullet shield and machine gun parking lights for only $45-I couldn't believe my good luck,because I had seen that same model going for almost $200.

Indeed that was a helluva great deal. Models that large are wonderfully detailed, I just wish I had more room for cars that big. The crown jewel of my 1/18th scale collection is this '73 Ford Falcon XBGT in Pepper Red......

It's the vehicle that was modified to become "the last of the V8 interceptors, mate" as driven by Mel Gibson in the "Mad Max" franchise. Being right-hand drive, I'm sure Sir Roger would've felt right at home in it as well.
