per CNN, ISIS. I'm too pissed off to comment without violating forum rules.
Thanks, for the updated info, Strings.

As usual, CNN jumps the gun (to be first) reporting ISIS laid claim, which may be the case. Now CNN has reported that ISIS and no one else have provided any proof. So much for the days when verification took precedence. Typical CNN. A lone wolf would change things, and ISIS has provided various proofs of involvement before so that may still surface. In fact, there may already be evidence of ISIS involvement; but, it would not surprise me if those in the know are withholding evidence as the investigation proceeds.

Thankfully, other news services haven't bit the bullet.

What an unbelievably horrible act. My prayers go out to all those harmed by this shameful atrocity.

I hope that none of our U.K. members or their families have been affected by this tragedy.

This seems to go along with my earlier post. It was reported today that the U.K. has laid a formal protest that information leaked or simply relayed without adequate consideration has had an effect on the activities and investigations rounding up the necessary details with regards to Manchester's bombing. No surprise here.
I didn't get the full story, suffice to say it is directed at CNN and other U.S. participants. CNN is back peddling on this, and it may have to do with their bureau over in England. I don't know. The odds are we may never know the details of who, how, or when other than there was a report of this. As usual the reporters and others take personal offence. and they prefer to find fault elsewhere with a change of topic.

It's well known that loose lips sink ships, and sometimes a flood of info is counter-productive. Some don't get it or don't want to at the detriment to others. C'est dommage.

I also found it interesting that when Manchester's police department addresses the press, you don't see every Tom, Dick. and Harry showing up to play politics like we do on this side of the pond. The meetings are brief and to the point. Cool.

Kudos to all those in Manchester that showed strength and character by showing up with solidarity in the shopping districts while voicing their upscale British upper lip attitude.

Update: 22 killed 64 wounded (20 of the wounded are critical), 8 persons of interest are under custody, the bomber Salman Abedi recently returned to the UK after 3 weeks in Libya, and the bomber's 20 year old brother was arrestsd in Tripoli planning a separate attack. The police now believe there is a related terrorist network.

Reports say that British Intelligence shared photos of bomb evidence with American Intelligence, and somehow that was leaked to the media who published it (including photos) without proper authorization. There is some concern (while checking for any possible specialized bomb maker) that subsequent terrorists may change their tactics and equipment, knowing that leaked info has alerted others.

Interesting when, where, and how all these leaks occur, and where they end up. The timing is amazing. What a bunch of drips. Maybe it's just me that thinks these acquisitions and distributions appear to have a pattern?
Hang on Manchester. Better days are ahead. Congratulations, Manchester United on your first Europa League win and thoughtful dedication to the victims Wednesday in Stockholm.

Another police controlled explosion took place at a suspected residence in Manchester. Bomb material was found at the location. It is now believed, according to authorities, that the bomb in the Ariana Grande tragedy was made by the bomber Salman Abedi.
