I am an "aged" Fender lover and have several Fender Guitars, Basses and Amplifiers. I am in the process of buying a new Bass amplifier and I am looking at the Bassman 250/210. It seems to be a great Unit, but I am missing the good old Fender Logo. If the Fender Management should read this message, please reverse it back to the Logo which made Fender so great or give me the option to chose the old one. The new one is boring and has no flair.

Hey Fender....You have branded yourself so well over all these years...Why you want to change such a good thing?

maybe they just wanted something new and fresh to distinguish their bass line from the stratocaster and such, which everyone who doesn't play guitar knows them for.... just a though, although most likely wrong :)

I dig the modern logo. I mean, i love my old school logo on my bassman, but the new logo is fresh.

It is not ugly or bad. It is stylish and good, communcating a strong modern image for the brand.

Myself, I prefer the original. I didn't care for the "New" Coke either.

I may be in the minority, but I kinda like it. It's based on the '50s Fender amp logo. My Champ 600 has one. What's old is new, and then it's called Retro.

There's nothing wrong with the new logo. It's just a change, and a lot of people incorrectly think change is bad.

Strat Cat is the first to notice the actuality... this logo is even MORE retro than the one everyone thinks is retro.

I have a custom-made nameplate on my home-brew 5f2a amp, with a name based on a nickname of the guy who built and tweaked it. We designed the nameplate to look similar to the old Fender amp logos, and it's almost identical to the new Fender Bass gear logo. It looks awesome on the amp.

BTW, the nameplate isn't really bent... that's a trick of the light.

Hey Fender Mgmt sometimes loses it's mind (the Mustang and Jaguar)I agree with you that the logo is not as appealing. It probably came from a bunch of non-players sitting around drinking half-caf lattes with freakin soy milk.
