just saw that he passed away after playing a gig on his 70th. birthday. I don't know a lot about him, but I do know he was a respected member of the jam band community.

Very sad indeed. At least he was doing what he loved. I think that is how I would like to go out.

Sorry to hear of Colonel Bruce Hampton's passing. He was obviously amongst friends. That's what music can bring to you, and I'm sure Mr. Hampton's music will leave memories.
