depends on what i'm playing.... you can't really compare the two because they are both excellent guitars for different styles of music... i own one of each and love them both

They both have their place. I like the tone from Fender strat the best because I favor the styles of music that it is used on. But, I love the crunchy sustain of the LPs and that's why I play one as well.

My Strats and Tele get used most of the time. I did sell a Les Pull (pun intended) that was a nice axe, but wasn't getting much use. My 335 does get some use, but nowhere near the Fenders.

Strat. More versatile than a Les Paul in my opinion. And I'm not talking about different styles of music either. It's almost like more tone can come out of a strat than a les paul. It's kinda hard to explain.

I have a LP but I don't play it much... The neck is a bit chunky. I'm kind of used/prefer Fender necks.

Stratocaster. But on a Fender forum what can you expect?

I like LPs just fine, in fact I own a very nice standard. However the Fender Stratocaster is the defacto rock and roll guitar. People might disagree but they are wrong, plain and simple. I think the real question should be Strat or Tele.!

I have both, each one is nice in its own way but the Strat is my favorite.

I'm a strat man. I'd say I pick up the strat 80% of the time. But those other times it's my LP or Epi 335 and I wouldn't want to be without them. Sometimes I just want that Gibson tone.
