Hi,

I recently purchased a used Competition series chorus from a store, and there seem to be a few problems. Firstly, the pedal is almost unresponsive to any power source, I had it plugged in and with all knobs maxed out, you can barely tell there is a chorus effect. In addition, the red power light is extremely dim (the other Competition pedals I have have a much brighter light). I tried using the pedal with a battery, but it only seems to have fixed the light problem. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks!

Not much you can do...
If you have experience in soldering, you could of course check the insides for broken/cold joints.
Fender doesn't make pedals, they just buy &brand them. Most likely: schematics and spare parts not available, warranty cover expired.
Just count your losses (can't be very many monetary units if you bought it used...) and get a new pedal.
