"Emo" is a waste of time. If you think no one likes you, deal with it. Try talking to people and being more personable if it means so much to you. Slitting your wrists and doing other stupid things will in no way better your position. If you're doing it as a ploy for attention, you're equally stupid. Twenty years from now, you'll realize what a dumbass you were. And enough with the "jocks", "preps", etc. Those are just as big of a stereotype as "emos." Just live your life and be who you are, stop conforming to stupid preconceived notions and think for yourself. If people don't like you for who you are, screw them. Changing for someone else is asinine because your life will be more and more miserable because you're catering to others' needs and not the ones of your own.

i will tell you the reason i hate emos is because i have to go to in east london were anyone with slightly long hair and listens to anything like grunge rock or metal gets branded an emo becouse you get one or two people who say thay are emos go around telling people that to be an emo you have to listen to metal and cut youre wrists( not so much grunge im the only grunger in the school most other people dont even no what is so im verry misunderstood but i domt have to go cut myself over it.)

Why do you continually insist that you have to fit into two specific stereotypes that you have in (jocks and preps)? There's much more to school than trying to fit in with those people. Just because you don't doesn't mean that cutting your wrists is justified. Just be yourself and stop caring so much about what other people think of you. If they don't like you, who cares? It's nothing to change your personality over or harm yourself. That's just dumb. You'll learn soon too that things you did when you were 13 or however old you are area really stupid. I'm only 17 and I realize how dumb some of the things I did then were.

It obviously isn't if you're in another group. You can't categorize everyone in one school into two groups. Sure there will be little cliques, but what you're saying sounds a bit exaggerated. It surely can't be as bad as you think.

This thread may get out of hand as well, so it may not be such a bad idea to close it haha.

Am I the only one here who is hoping that emo is just another of these fads like say, spice girls or pokemon used to be back in the 90's and early 2000's? (Yes, I know emo has been around longer than that).

I don't like it when kids slit their wrists because "it's cool", but surely they'll grow out of it eventually? I have yet to meet an emo who is more than 14 or 15 years...
