My worst is a Michael Bolton show...

Enough said. Didn't need to read the rest. My sympathies.

Yup it was pretty bad. His band was okay but at one point he went backstage for a wardrobe change and the band played a 20 minute jam. They were making up as they went along and trading solos. It was one of those situations where if you are the player its fun but it's pretty bad to an audience. Needless to say I have not been to a concert with that sister-in-law again. (20+ years)

Siouxie and the Banshees, @ The Grove in Anaheim, CA. August 2002.
Should have seen the writing on the wall for this one, as the pre-sale had undersold terribly, so they got The Distillers to open up last minute (Siouxie was to be the only act that night).

Distillers were great, and humbled by the opportunity. 1 HOUR after they got off stage, the Banshees went on and it was utterly bor-ing. This transferred to the crowd, which triggered Siouxie to turn on all of us, complaining how empty the place was, and how dead we were. Worst of all, she started taking off a piece of clothing after each song....First off, its not 1981 anymore, so it was like watching your weird aunt strip at the family reunion. *shivers*
At the end, she stormed off stage muttering aloud "no #$@*&!% encore", while her fans were left chanting her name, with no end result.

On a better note, I saw Danzig there a week earlier. Being a Misfits fan since Jr. High, it blew my mind.

Tom Cochrane a few years back....mostly because of the terrible job done on the sound.

For me , it was the best of times and the worst -

Dicky Betts was playing at the old Capitol thaetre in Passaic ( :x ) NJ in 1976. Before he came on, this group I'd never heard, Aztec Two-Step put
on a great show. After them, David Bromberg, a former amazing session man for many artists like Bob Dylan, put on an hour long concert that was fantastic ... simply incredibly-talented musician. :)

THEN........... Mr. Betts came on. :x

It would have been alot better for the audience and Mr. Betts if he had tuned his guitar BEFORE coming on stage and....

NOT BEING BOMBED OUT OF HIS MIND !!

He started by playing Blue Sky....

walk along a river, sweet lullabye-

then stopped singing, walked to the front of his amp and proceded VERY loudly to tune his guitar while the band played on. This appearently was beyond his capabilities at the moment ... so he walked off. John Scher, the promoter came out to the booing crowd and coinvinced Dicky to come back on. Sooooo....... after much begging  .... Mr. Betts comes back and states ( and I quote ) " As Jimi Hendrix said, F*** IT "
Well he tried again, his guitar started squealing like a soon to die pig and walked off again... alas never to return. The audience at this point was very angry and hostile. John Scher came out and said Dicky Betts refuses to play and told the audience who had primarily come to see Dicky Betts that we heard 2 acts that were good and that was it !!!

Thanks again Dicky

The worst one I ever saw was Hank Williams Jr. He had a bad attitude. He would break a guitar string and take the guitar off and just toss it back over his head. His tech was running around in back of him trying to catch his guitars. After the show was over he went to the back of the stage (the exit) and starting climbing the stairs while ripping off his leather jacket and throwing it down.

Y'know, it's funny. When I saw the topic I immediately thought Hank Williams, Jr. Got some free tix to see him years ago and I thought the show was horrible.

I'm all for loud shows, but his was loud for the sake of being loud. It was all re-makes of classic rock songs with words added to be about motorcycles.

It's literally the only concert I ever walked out on.

One of the worst was CCR, partially because of my high expectations. I loved that band. Tom Fogarty had left and their music needs a rhythm guitar. They played 3 piece for 45 minutes with no encore, and half that time was a 20 minute BS jam on "Keep on Chooglin".

Sadly, once saw Marty Robbins in medium-small venue, about 500 people, and he was bad-drunk.

So sad, he was not in even medium-kinda good form, but still immortal. Disappointed. 'Did not listen to him until he passed, and then became mature enough to forgive him and listen again.

Sing in Heaven, Marty, and please forgive this narrow-mindedness.
