Metallica- Black album tour when they decided to play everything off of "Kill'em All" acoustically. Also the Rolling Stones on their last tour. Ron Wood was playing the wrong song while everyone else was playing what was supposed to be the first song of the set.

The worst concert I have ever been to is when I saw Citizen Cope at the HOB in Orlando the band came out over an hour late and were just completely blazed not to mention the guy seriously could not sing and could hardly play his guitar, then about halfway through the concert there was this guy standing next to me who had a camera and kept taking photos (for those of you who don't know they do not allow cameras into any House of Blues location so people don't bootleg the concerts.) Anyways the bouncer came up and asked him very nicely to put the camera away and he did but about 5 minutes later the man pulled the camera out again and started shooting video and taking more pictures so the bouncer came over again and told him to put the camera away and he again complied and did as he was told what happened next? you guessed it that same man pulls out the camera AGAIN this time the bouncer was done and he told the man to give him the camera and leave, that's when the man threw a punch at the bouncer well the 350lb 7'2" bouncer didn't like this at all and decided it was time to take the camera from the man while beating the absolute $@!& out of this guy and that's when the mans buddy stepped in and tried to get the bouncer off the man which prompted more bouncers to come and try to force the man and his buddy out of the building and that's when it turned into an all out brawl RIGHT BEHIND ME there was furniture being thrown and flipped over lamps hitting the ground and the mans face being slammed to the ground several times by a female bouncer until the two men were escorted out through a door on the upper level and never came back, as for the camera well it was absolutely smashed to pieces so even though it was the worst concert i have ever been to, i came out of it with a great story!

The Spin Doctors...they sucked because of their loser singer and egotistical bass player. I was working for Sony Nashville at the time and was back stage after the show talking with the Gin Blossoms(Awesome show great guys) and those two drunken buffoons came up and started talking about how great they were and were asking us if we wanted their autographs...I mean I had a Label Staff pass...sorry for railing, but I felt for all the folks who paid to see them and they were just rotten..falling down drunk!

So bad, such a disappointment..
but... it did confirm to me that Rolling Stones is the most overrated band ever... well.. at least in the top 3 together with the Doors and Nirvana!

I'd have to disagree with the Stones (though they need to retire) IMO you forgot the most over rated guys ever, The Original "BOY BAND" The Beatles. If it wasn't for the beatles we would have never had bands like new kids or n'sync

yes I know I probably started a war.

Worst two--ironically, by guys who I really like and had seen (and enjoyed) previously...

(1)Buddy Guy at the Bedford Blues Festival in 2002; the band was good (right and tight), but his guitar was WAAAAAAY to loud--cut through the eardrums, no matter how far back we moved (and I was wearing earplugs!). We left after the fifth time he didn't finish a song (in the first six songs), because "this ain't the %^&* blues, we gotta get so funky they can smell it, *&^%!!" I'm not easily offended, but even I was put off by the profanity.
I love Buddy Guy, and I had seen (and enjoyed) his antics previously, but he was either stoned or drunk and put on a terrible performance.

(2) Jonny Lang at the Fort Worth Main Street last spring. Sound was muddy, overplayed (like Santana), vocals sucked. He also seemed to thing that closing his eyes and singing "ooooooooo" for ten bars or so was soulfull (it's not). Walked out after four songs. I had seen him before (in 1999), and he was awesome...I don't know what happened.

Humble pie, milwaukee summerfest, 1973 riot. The rowdy drunken crowd caused so much trouble, beer bottles were even hitting the stage! Humble pie had to quit playing, due to flying objects, so all hell broke loose! The Police charged in using tear gas, i finished that scene running away from the mess, as the funk was on!  :x

i forgot one.

i saw kiss for the 5th time a few yrs ago. omg paul stanley sounded like shiot. he tried rapping with the people but it wasnt working out for him.
the playing was very bad as well.
kiss is a lov em or leav em typy of band. i grew up with them.
i loved them. they were the break a kid in the 70's needed from disco.
a lot of top hard rock and metal give ace props for inspiration.
kiss had everything going for them a rock band needed.
the ruled for a long time. gene and paul ran kiss like a business, not a band. if they did the band thing, i dont think they would have lasted as long. IMHO, RIP kiss. its over guys.

Gotta be honest, 2 concerts. 1st was the Allman Brothers Band, Dillon Stadium, July 1973.......This was a graduation present to myself, and let's just say that a certain leader of the band immersed himself face 1st into a pile of Columbia's finest export.....couldn't understand a word he said or sang after that. 2nd time was seeing Deep Purple, 1976, with Tommy Bolin. No silver spoon, just a huge tray during his guitar solo. He just keeled over backwards, Jon Lord played the rest of the solo on his Hammond B-3. Concert was over and out after that.

The worst that I ever saw was in fact a concert that I never saw.A few years ago The Bare Naked Ladies were playing in St. John,NL,and the opening act was Hamilton ,ON,Canada Native Tomy Swyck. As I already was a huge fan of this future musical giant,I got tickets.Tomy's opening set was so sublime that we left during the intermission, knowing that there was no way possible that they could top him.People said after that The BNL were great,Tomy Swyck had them beat 10 times over.BTW the BNL came out on stage wrapped in bath towels and started flashing Tomy and his band while they were doing a fabulous cover of John Lennon's Don't Let Me Down(their last song)-there are some things that you don't mess with,so that was a big turn off.

Worst show I ever saw by a "name" act was a George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars concert about ten years back. The group basically got up and noodled around for about an hour before leaving the stage. Not sure if they were wasted, ill-prepared or what, but it was simply a terrible show.

Surprising, because I had seen them the previous year and they were absolutely fantastic then. I guess it goes to show you even the best bands can have off nights.

The Raleigh North Carolina Blues Festival. It was more of a R&B fest. Not one single blues performer, or at least not REAL BLUES! A total waste of my time and money. Clarence Carter was the best performer if that ells you anything.
