Really, playing one instrument doesn't make you talented. I play bass if I have to, but I hardly consider myself talented.

Piano, keyboard, guitar......and......of course we are all multi-talented. Just look at the wealth of knowledge out here. Besides, we have such great taste in our choice of guitars.

Don't we...................California!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't Jebediah Springfield hide his confession of being a pirate in a Fife on The Simpsons?

Just a quick question.

Playing Mandolin.......they're eight strings, which look paired, like a twelve string guitar. Are the chords similar to a guitar?

Same with Ukulele. Four strings. Any similarities to a guitar?

The mando is tuned like a violin, GDAE, backwards from guitar. It's pretty easy to learn some chords if you play guitar.

Thanks for the info.......I was just wondering if it was something I could sort of just pick up and play. I didn't think so. Would have to learn a new instrument.

Actually you can just pick it up and play it. It's a whole lot easier then you think. How long does it take you to learn a new guitar chord? Heck, I just started making up my own chords and learned what they were later. If you're a decent guitar player, you can make music on a mando in just an hour or so.

I used to sing on the radio until I scratched it. Then, I danced in the movies but I had to stop that too, the people behind me couldn't see the picture.

I have been playing guitar for for a good 14 years and I have been playing bass for about 11 years. I use to play Sax but dropped that in Junior High.
