PJ Harvey at 1st Avenue in Minneapolis. She has a stage presence that is just huge.

The Outlaws, Blue Oyster Cult, Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top. That was my first show. I'm not sure what the best show was I've seen alot of folks. Some I don't remember. Some I remember a little.

I never saw any of the really great ones though, like Floyd,Stones, Allman Brothers, and so sadly did not see Stevie ray Vaughan, even though he was close by alot. I was too busy being young and wild and wasted. :(

I just saw Rush on the 11th at Dallas at Smirnoff and they were great, I actually loved the new stuff as much as the old. The crowd was really interactive on Tom Sawyer and YYZ and the likes though, it was surreal.

Just seeing all the bad as Gibsons, Lifeson plays was amazing . Check his gear list on the Rush Web_Site. Nice guitars, although I am a Quicksilver or Pearlcaster or fender fan.

You may have missed some great concerts, but like you said, you are making your own history attending concerts of today. The stage technology is awesome compared to what it was back before your time. And there are some great musicians today who will be classics, like you said, twenty years from now. Wonder what music will be like then? I just can't keep up with all the bands of the past and today along with all the different styles.

yeah, BP, i know what you mean. but the fancy lights and earsplitting amps aren't all they're cracked up to be. give me cozy little coffe shop with nothing more than the newsest act, and I'm content. i used to be a dancer, so i know all about the fancy lighting. trust me, after 5 minutes of stright spinning around in lights that are spinning in the opposite direction, you're happy to get off of the stage...lol. hopefully, the kids'll be talking about me 20 years from now...

Hands down it has to be the recent Clapton Crossroads festival!! Clapton himself played for almost 2 hrs and he pulled out a lot of Dominos stuff. I saw him back in Sept of 06 in Chicago to and he was great then, but he blew me away at the Crossraods festival! I have seen a ton of great concerts. Back in 2000 or 2001 went to see Charlie Daniles and Dickey Betts. I got to meet Charlie and his band but the best part is, I got to meet Dickey and sit on his bus with him and talk for about an hour or so after his set. He signed autographs and took pictures and everything. I'll see if I can get a picture up here.[/img]
