I've been gone a bit, but I've grown my family.

I bought a 1993 Vantage 670 Hollowbody

A 1987 Moridira Hurricane EX-3

And the king of them all, a 1984 Westone X189RD.

I also got an EHX Worm, a Danelectro Cool Cat chorus, and a MIJ Boss BF-2.

pics when I'm home!

That's the Westone, actually.

It's in great shape. Bridge was swapped and decked with artificial bone saddles, which I was told by my tech were an oddball thing that Graphtech did 30+ years ago.

The neck pickup was swapped for another Westone pickup, a different type of MMK-45 from a higher end Prestige model.

The original jack was flush with the body and was broken through, which explains the capsized boat.

I LOVE it. It has a fresh setup and it plays beautifully. Zero fret wear as well.

It was $125 out the door.

That's pretty cool. You ever see this site? http://www.westone.info/ I remember seeing a few of the Westone guitars or basses around, especially back in the day.

Good to hear from ya, James. How's the little one? If I remember correctly you'll soon have a 1 year old. Pretty interesting stuff there, thanks for sharing. Good link, Paul.

She's doing well. She's actually a year and a half now. She can say 30 or so words now, which is apparently double the average of a child her age.

I'm sorry for the lack of photos and updates. I still don't have regular internet, and I'm also moving soon. I bought my wife (as everyone at work calls her lol) a car that I'm going to fix up, and before that I also need to do a few things to mine. (Still drive the 4Runner, got it up to 17 MPG too)

Well, yesterday, the thrift store bit me again and I walked out with a set of 2 Beyerdynamic M69Ns for $10, which is an absolute steal to my knowledge.

Vantage and Moridira are up for sale, by the way. Decided that 7 guitars is too many.

Yeah, time certainly does fly. Imagine it's been a year an a half already. Good to hear all is well. By the way, what ever became of that Fender Lead II you got back in January (pretty sure that was the one,) which I think you need a lot of work done to it? You keep it, or did you dump it?

Yeah, I don't blame you there. I wish I could dump some of the crap I have sitting around.

I also dumped the Vantage and Moridira for a gretsch solid body and a 2x10 cab loaded with Jensen alnicos. I'll be picking up a blackheart head from my neighbor this weekend.

The gretsch was probably $400 new, but It sounds great. I kinda wanna strip the back of the neck and oil it, then strip the body and paint it surf green or something. Has the tv jones style pickups. I already threw a pair of witch hat knobs on it.

I couldn't resist, I had to buy the Blackheart last night. It has the bitmo 3 way bypass and it's #$@*&!% amazing. I can't wait to crank it up when I get home today. My neighbor tested it for me with his 52AVRI Tele and it was fantastic. I would have played it myself, but I had eaten a burger and not washed up yet. I didn't wanna disrespect his gear lol.

I was reading about those amps a little bit. There is still a website up for them, http://www.blackhearteng.com/ but I'm guessing they don't make them anymore. They offer links for 3rd party sites if you want to mod your amp, which I guess some people have from what I've also read on a forum that talked about them.

I think they were made by Crate. I'm not sure though. I think there's a reverb tank mod. The only drawback is that it didn't come with one. I'm gonna clock out in like 10 min to get home for it.
