Thanks, for adding that, Eric. Sorry the weather wasn't able to get you to the pavilion; but, obviously it was a fun gig all the same.

No Brown Eyed Girl? What was the Beatles selection all about? I didn't get it. You picked this over Brown Eyed Girl? That's crazy.

I was confused, the guitarist's name is Eric, LOL

Yes, Beatles over Brown Eyed Girl, how dare we? :D

It was around 58 degrees and on/off rain so the outside pavillion was not in the cards, but all those people sat on that boardwalk in that crap weather to listen to us so all in all it was a fun night.

That's definitely a lot of info on Brown Eyed Girl, the song, that I didn't know. Kind of sad that Van never received any royalties from this huge hit for him.

But to my point, LOL, I just don't get refusing to play songs that you think are tired and boring. I still say if you're a cover band, which some of us will only be, that's the price of playing out. We had a keyboard player at one time so we had a blast doing some stuff by the Tubes and Supertramp that we thought were fantastic. But when you might be losing the crowd over some songs you're playing for your own benefit, you still need the "tired" standards to reel them back in.

But here's a latest video from our July gig in Bayfield, WI. No Brown Eyed Girl included......

Excellent vocals and harmonies - I enjoyed the song selection too - nice work!

That's right. From now on you will be known as Eric, Chris.

I, on the other hand will be known as "The Great Pooba of The Prairie Wheatfield" or "the doofus who messed up and deserves a thousand lashes with a wet noodle made from the wheat field".

My sincerest apologies my friend. It was I who was confused. You don't even look like an Eric. I know you're Chris. I was just testing ya.

It still looked like a great gig. :D

No apologies needed FSB, I'm terrible with names and can't remember yours, It just caught me off guard having an Eric in the band.

The coolest part about that gig was it's a weekly Tues night thing they do in the summer. We've been going to the shows for years so it was so cool to get a gig and have all the people I know show up, they've heard for years I was in a band ya know?

Sunshine would have been nice because the gazebo you play in in nice weather is right on the water, very cool. But that's what happens on Lake Superior, you never know about the weather.

It was a memorable night for me, and my family!

Last night rocked - we did a couple of our Steely Dan tunes as a tribute and
they came out well. (Katy Lied & Black Friday).

Last night was cool but uneventful. I guess that's a good thing. It was a warm night
and the audience stayed late and danced a lot. We got paid and I drove home avoiding
all the drunks on the roads.

That's what you get for charging too much for 'Brown Eyed Girl' and not enough for 'Have A Drink On Me'

Jam/Open Mic night last night. A lot of fun. Many solo singer/songwriters and a few
that sat in with the house band. It's always interesting to get to see and hear different
musicians.

Packed punk show in a house. People got very... enthusiastic... about every band. Felt good to pay touring bands well.
