Thanks guys. Playing out is always fun and interesting but lugging the
gear, especially the sound system, not so much. Since it goes with the
territory, we do it, over and over and over.....

I feel your pain, Mike. That’s how I felt with the drum kit that now stays where it sits. Age doesn’t help either, but even with youth it’s a PITA; although, still appreciating vintage gear and their sort, there are a lot of alternative choices that weren’t available back when to ease on down the road.

That said, after all is done, all that hard work pays off in rewards, and I wish you many more. Three cheers for the lug nuts.
Break a leg. :D

The good thing is no more B3 or Leslie cabinets to move. Those were the worse!

The ones we had in the studio were on platformed wheels, and they were the best, :Pbut I know what you mean. Sure glad I never had to lug those babies. The old black and white video cameras up to a press box were bad enough.
We looked pretty buff though, huh?

Last night was supposed to outside on the deck, but they had to move it inside
due to the EEE mosquito virus that's in that area. That said, it went well but I did
still get some skeeta bites!

As the night went on it got better and better. I got home and just
sat and savored the sweet sounds of the night's memories.

That's a nice way to wind down and relax. I'm glad you had a good gig.

We got into a deep discussion after the gig the other night. It was about how many
string trees you really need on your Fender headstocks. Many claim they only use one
for the E and B strings. A few said they use two and use for G and D strings. Some said they
use a 3-tree (for E, B & G strings/one screw hole) and some said they use adjustable trees
to raise and lower for the best sustain.

Discuss......

I have two Strats and both have only one tree for the high E and B strings. I don't see a need for more but I'm open to discussion.
