Anyone else seen this film? I saw it last night and I thought it was amazing. With all the hype over Ledger's "joker", it really did live up to it. He was hilarious, sadistic, and all around great while the film had an enjoyable plot that kept you guessing.

In the pathetic existence known as my life, the last movie that I saw in the theaters was "Star Wars: Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith". Of course I catch them all once they make it to the 50 or so HBO and movie channels. I remember all the hype for "Batman" with Keaton and Nicholson back in 1989, which I thought was a great movie. Damn, that was almost 20 years ago.

I havn't seen it but it looks great. I like what they did with the joker this time, he seems a lot more evil (and funny at the same time) It is definetly on my list of movies to see.

We tried to see it last - all shows were sold old when we got to the theater at 7:30 - so we went and saw Journey To The Center of The Earth. Not a bad version of the book - aimed at kids more than adults. After that movie, we went and bought tickets to the 1:10 PM show today.

We enjoyed The Dark Knight aplenty. It was very well done - good writing, tight directing and good acting. Heath was a very believable Joker. It could have been a bit shorter - but other than that - a very good movie.

I remember that being a problem with the last Batman movie. I never finished that one because I was watching it with my brother sister and grandpa. He didn't think it was apropriet for them so it got shut off.

It was a bit lengthy compared to some, but none of it was really bland or boring, so it kept me entertained. I saw it at a drive-in with Hancock playing afterwards. After seeing The Dark Knight, Hancock was a pathetic attempt at a movie.

Ledger, while sadistic, was hilarious the whole movie. Such as his "magic trick" with the pencil. It was such a gruesome thing, yet, how it was presented, it made me laugh.

For big movies........I always wait for a couple of weeks, until the lines go down.

I'll agree Batman looked a bit meh, but I thought the joker looked amazing. The smeared makeup and sadistic smile suited the character's personality perfectly in my mind.

Gonna have to say i disagree, I have been a batman fan since i can remember, have seen them all, and this is the best batman. Heath Ledger made the movie, his portrayal of the Joker was perfect, And the face that they put on Harvey "Two Face" Dent was awesome, it truely looked real!!! It will be hard to follow this movie up with anything. As far as batman's Costume, i think it was great, he needs a suite of aromour

I loved it. the Joker just sticks with you after the movie since he makes such an impression. Ledger did a fantastic job. I really enjoyed Harvey Dent as well.

Wow. That is a bold statement considering Iron Man was truly a fantastic comic movie! I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, but I definitely will!

Like Flamekaster, I have been a Batman fan since I was a kid. Trust me, that is a very long time! :)
