Great stuff both with the weekend opening and the report button! Hopefully we'll keep moving along smoothly as it has been.

Thanks Brad and the Fender Forums staff for letting us try and show that we are grown up folks.

Hope it is not an instant complaint button cause I almost hit it when I was trying to quote someone. Is there an undo button. Maybe it should be painted red or something.

Great idea to open up the weekends to talk about what we saw or get some inspiration. "Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own"(U2-How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb) I think we've just started.

Cheers!

With 167 thousand (and constantly growing) registered members...
having Moderators would also be helpful.

You do a great job Brad, my hat goes off to ya'. :)
Everyone can use some help, from time to time.

Mods help keep the conversation going, keep it on topic, shut down flaming posts, keep the bickering to a minimum and so on.
Mods make it easier for Admins to do their daily forum duties.

Greatly appreciate the thought, but this is more of a "Web 2.0" approach here (OK, I'm greatly stretching the metaphor, but hopefully you'll know what I mean.) I'm not a fan of communities where mods are intervening every 10 seconds, driving conversations, keeping them on track, monitoring every word, etc. -- I've been there, done that, and witnessed it sap the 'genuineness' of the base communication. Just my $0.02 based on previous forum experience. On the other hand, I'm also not a fan of completely unmoderated free-for-alls either. So, from the outset, the intent here has been to lie somewhere in between: light moderation only to be applied when necessary.

And, the other side benefit of that 'light moderation' mantra is that I gotta be honest: these forums truthfully are not that much work at all! Total "pet project," and a nice mental break from my rather stressful 'real job.'

At least as far as my *own* vision of where I want to take this community is concerned, the only thing we're obviously still missing here is 24/7 access ... and I've got that figured out (at least on paper) too. So I'm happy with where things are going.

In summary, a different approach, but intentionally so.

Which is the most well behaved forum?

I have a feeling Squier is top ten. I'm always on it and have never seen too many wars. The people on it are smart enough to ignore the trouble makers.

The Squier forum is definitely right up there for sure -- extremely well behaved!

That's because no one like talking about Squiers  Just kidding, my Squier is a tank. It's been through all sorts of drops and such with little to no damage to it. It sounds pretty good for the 250 dollars or so it was.
