I'm looking for suggestions for an app that lets you search the web and import
the lyrics and then lets you manually enter the chord changes. A transpose feature
would be a plus.

From what I'm seeing, the good ones want you to subscribe to a service for this. I will manually
enter the lyrics and chord charts if that's the way it has to be.

This is for a quick substitute gig that could also be used for other applications.
So far I've seen: Setlists, OnSong, Teleprompt.

Any others?

Thanks in advance.

I use OnSong but I know I'm barely scratching the surface of what it can do. I have not been very adventurous with it. I'm sorry but I just don't know if it will import lyrics from the web. There may possibly be a transpose feature but I don't know. If there is then I imagine you'd have to input the lyrics and the chords manually from within OnSong. A Bluetooth keyboard would prolly be helpful there. Otherwise I imagine the app would have no way of knowing what is text and what is chords.

I have a pretty big library of lyrics with chords on my computer and OnSong just helps me get them to the stage. I type out my lyrics in Word just like I've done for many years and then import them into OnSong. The only reason I use it is for the timed scrolling feature. Much easier than having a stand and a book or loose pages. If you figure it takes 4 minute to play a song you set it so it scrolls from start to finish in about 3:45. No reaching down to swipe pages while playing. Then you organize your songs in order of your setlist. Between songs a simple swipe gets you to the next song. Touch 'start' to begin scrolling.

I agree. It seems like one of the best and you don't need a subscription.

I thought maybe someone knew of one that I hadn't heard about that was good.

For anyone else who might be interested there's something about OnSong you need to know. If you import Word files like I do, you have to adjust your margins so they're a narrower page. If you don't the lines won't fit the screen and one line will take two. I forget the dimensions because once I got it sorted I just made a template in Word and use it for all lyrics.
