I have been away I use my tester first and if there is no short and there not weak I try them in my amp, and then I give them the chop stick test, the tube I found all seem solid passed all my tests I have them in my SR, as drive tubes in V3 and V6, can't say I hear much of a difference in the amp as the tube that were in there were 1960's Sylvania 12AT7 ECC81

V6 in a Super Reverb performs the phase-inverter function (not a driver per se). As such, that tube should be chosen based on balanced transconductance and low noise.

Yeah that is correct, as I wrote it I kind of questioned classifying V3 and V6 as drivers, but the tube in V6 seem to have balanced transconductance and low noise.

Likely you won't hear much sonic difference between the "new" old tubes and the ones that were in your amp originally. So save the others for use as spares "if/when".

Exactly I put them with all of the other new, and used old tubes that I have, for spares that I will probably never use up, as I think I have more tubes than I will ever use in the rest of my life time. My kids will end up with them and say WTF do we do with all of these. I added a note that says "Do some research and sell them you will be surprised at what you really have here.
