I just wanted to share this story with everyone. This just happened earlier this evening

My little boy is only two and a half years old - he is very smart and talks really well and asks lots of questions for his age - Well, I have tons of pictures of SRV, but since moving into my new place, I have only put one up so far- its a large framed b/w photo of SRV playing #1 - Well, my son is familar with guitars or "tars" as he calls them - he is around them all the time

So, we are sitting there and I see him staring at the picture - He says, "Who is that Daddy?" I said, "thats Stevie!" - He looks at me and says, "What happened to Stevie's 'tar' Daddy?"

I didnt know what to say, I just thought how cool it was that he noticed the wear and tear on the guitar, of all things to notice in the picture, thats what he picked out!

That was one of those "Daddy Moments" that ill never forget!

That is pretty cool that he noticed his guitar, I have a 2 year old nephew who calls them tars too. He cracks me up.

my three yr old calls them geetars. she has a little cheep acoustic that was my 9 yr olds before i gave her her mustang, and i think she will be the guitar smasher, she is always jumpin on it lol. But when my 9yr old was little she use to call guitar picks guitar pickles, we still laugh at that sometimes.

Oh and my thress yr old loves the immigrant song by zepplin, she sings along with it everyday on the way to school

I love cool kid stories like that!! Great the you shared

That is way cool. Pretty observant for 2.5!

My son used to stomp around the living room singing "Mister Mojo Risin!" all the time when he was about that age. He also used to sing along with a Scottish band that is my wife's favorite called Runrig.

Ah, the good old days.
