I just bought a Strat and I'm totally diggin' it! I'm not a very good guitar player but I enjoy the hobby immensely. I've had a Martin for 5 years and play mostly fingerstyle blues(John Hurt) and was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good instructional rock or electric blues instructional DVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

Congrats on your new Strat. Dig it.

In the immortal wisdom of the great 20th century American philosopher, Frank Zappa, "Shut up and play your guitar."

'Picking up the old American Standard from the tech today, it needed a smidge of work recently, having had it since '90. Looking forward to getting back cozy with that girlfriend tonight.

Nice move man! You must be very happy now.
I'm playing acoustic guitar almost a year... Only once my teacher let me to play on his electric guitar... But I hope that soon I'll have my own.
As for DVD's, if you are skilled player, go to youtube.com: you will find everything you need there. (You must know this site)

Congrats on the new strat man and welcome to the forum. There are so many web sites and books all you need to do is google it and decide which one fits your needs ( i.e. styles etc.) What model strat did you get? It doesn't matter as they are all fine instruments. Good luck.

congrats :)
which did you get?
have not tried any dvds and have not had much luck with books
my best advice is to hook up with your local guitar god and try to gleen a few tips/lesson from him/her
my playing advanced quickly when i found a local teacher and started lessons
